To update Stockport leaders and elected
members of the programme of work that has supported the
introduction of the expanded childcare policy. This has two
elements; An expansion of funded entitlements for working parents
of children aged 9 months to 3 years. Increased access to
wraparound childcare for all school aged children commencing from
September 2024.
This report updates on the national policy context announced in the
previous Governments March 2023 Budget and confirmed to be
continuing by the new Government and presents overview of the local
vision and delivery plan.
