Part A - The purpose of this report is to
outline the outcomes of the review of the Council’s Medium
Term Financial Plan (MTFP) 2024/25 to 2028/29.The report revisits
the assumptions and forecasts underpinning the MTFP, given the
changes in the unprecedented
adverse national economic conditions in terms of inflationary
costs, interest rates and increasing demand for services, to ensure
they continue to be based on the latest available
information.
Part B - The purpose of this report is to outline the
Cabinet’s response to addressing the uncertainty, volatility
and risk outlined within the review of the MTFP. The
Cabinet’s focus is on delivering impactful and
outcomes-focused transformational change for communities and
businesses across Stockport.
