Update on Fair and Inclusive work March – Sept 22

A fair and inclusive Stockport is one of the nine key strands of the One Stockport Borough Plan. Our ambition is ‘A Borough for everyone – diversity and inclusion is celebrated and everyone has equity of opportunity’. In order to work towards this ambition a fair and inclusive approach needs to be embedded in our culture and mainstreamed across all of our service delivery. .
To support this increased focus the Council has invested in a small Fair and Inclusive Stockport team to provide additional capacity over 2 years from March 22 – March 24. The purpose of the team is to act as a catalyst and establish a work programme that becomes embedded, changing culture and practice.
This paper provides an update on progress in the first half year of the programme 1st March – 30th Sept 22.
