To inform Stockport leaders and elected
members of a new programme of work to support access to family help
in our communities.
Stockport Family have been successful in bidding for almost
£1 million transformation funding from the Department for
Education (DfE) through the Family Hubs Local Transformation Fund.
This report outlines the national policy context and expectations
from the programme alongside an overview of the local vision and
delivery plan.

Consultation process
The aims, objectives and outcomes for this
programme are being developed collectively with stakeholders and
this process provides an opportunity to build a shared
understanding of family hubs and to think and collaborate in a
structured way. It helps to identify contradictions and
assumptions. The output gives a greater sense of clarity and
purpose, and a clear plan that will help evaluate progress and
communicate work, both internally and externally. This detail will
be brought back in our January update.
