Stockport Baptist Church for a grant of £1000 from the Ward
Flexibility Fund budget (£500 each from the Davenport and
Cale Green, and Edgeley and Cheadle Heath wards) towards the cost
of hosting a ‘Fun in the Park’ event in Alexandra park
from 22 – 24 August 2022.
The Davenport and Cale Green, and Edgeley and Cheadle Heath ward
councillors have been consulted on this grant allocation and are in
agreement that it be made.

The Corporate Director for Corporate & Support Services &
Deputy Chief Executive has taken urgent action under the
constitution to give approval to an application received by the
council from Friends of Hesketh Park and Mellor Green for the use
of Hesketh Park for their annual Family Barbeque on the 24th
September 2022 between the hours of 2.00pm – 6.00pm, setting
up and closing down from 10.00am – 7.00pm, subject to all the
appropriate paperwork and licences being obtained and submitted to
the council at least one week prior to the event taking
place.
The Chair of Bramhall & Cheadle Hulme South Area Committee and
Ward Councillors have been consulted on the proposal and supports
the application.
The decision has been taken as urgent action as to delay the taking
of the decision would provide insufficient notice for the
organisers to obtain the necessary paperwork and licenses and as
such, the ordinary approval process could not be followed.

Primary School for a grant of £1,000 from the Ward

allocation) towards the cost of replacing a lunchtime play
equipment shed with a new shed and subfloor.
The decision has been taken as urgent action as the last Area
Committee meeting would have been rendered inquorate for the
consideration of this matter by virtue of interests held by
members, and as a result the decision could not be taken and the
applicant needed to urgently secure the grant monies to replace the
shed before the start of the new term.

taken urgent action under the constitution to give approval to an
application from Woodley and Bredbury Community Neighbours for a
grant of £461 from the Werneth
Area Committee’s Ward Flexibility Funding Budget towards the
cost of providing a new noticeboard at Woodley Precinct.
The decision has been taken as urgent action as the applicant needs
to urgently obtain planning permission for the noticeboard to
secure additional grant monies to facilitate the final provision of
the noticeboard.
