The Deputy Chief Executive has noted the proposal for the development of an artificial sports pitch with grant funding from the Football Foundation at Stockport School, and has:-

a)            Agreed to the Football Foundation’s grant Terms and Conditions.

b)            Agreed to be a joint applicant for the grant with Stockport School.

The Deputy Chief Executive has given authority to issue consent to the disposal of a small parcel of garden land at 26 Ernest Street, Cheadle.

The Cabinet Member for Resources, Commissioning & Governance has considered a report detailing a package of financial support known as the Energy Bills Rebate that had been announced by the government to help households meet the increasing cost of energy bills.

Stockport has received funding of £16,497,900 to support eligible households.

£15,898,800 of the funding will be used to provide eligible households in Council Tax valuation bands A-D with a one off payment of £150 aligned to the Government’s eligibility criteria.

The remaining £599,100 will be distributed via a discretionary scheme set-up by the Council aligned to Government guidance i.e. those households that occupy properties in bands E-H as well as providing additional targeted support to the most vulnerable households in bands A-D.

The Cabinet Member for Resources, Commissioning & Governance has then given approval to the proposed energy rebate discretionary scheme for Stockport as detailed in sections 4.3, 4.4 and 4.6 of the report.

The Corporate Director (Corporate and Support Services) & Deputy Chief Executive has given approval to the granting of the lease at 6 Deanery Way on the terms identified in Appendix 1 to the report.

The Corporate Director (Corporate & Support Services) & Deputy Chief Executive has given approval to the entering into of wayleave agreements with Openreach to allow the provision of broadband into Council owned residential property on the terms identified in the ‘not for publication’ report.

The Corporate Director (Corporate and Support Services) & Deputy Chief Executive has agreed to document the surrender and given approval to the granting of a new lease at 70 Merseyway on the terms identified in Appendix 1 to the report.

The Corporate Director (Corporate & Support Services) & Deputy Chief Executive, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Economy & Regeneration, has given approval to the award of the new Topographical Survey Framework 2022-25 +1 year extension at a cost of £50k per annum.

The Corporate Director (Corporate and Support Services) and Deputy Chief Executive has taken urgent action under the constitution to give approval to an application from Chatsworth Road Jubilee Party Organisers for a grant of £300 from the Ward Flexibility Funding Budget towards the cost of organising a street party for the Queen’s Jubilee on Friday 3rd June 2022 for the residents of Chatsworth Road.

The decision has been taken as urgent action as the event is due to take place in advance of the next meeting of the Area Committee and as such, the ordinary approval process could not be followed.
