The Executive considered a number of interrelated legislative changes resulting from the Localism Act and Equality Act that required approval by Council, namely the publication of strategic equality objectives and the publication of a statement confirming the Council’s approach to setting the pay of its employees.
The Executive has recommended thatthe Council Meeting confirm and agree:-
(1) To publish the Statement on Equality and Diversity (as set out in Appendix 1 of the report), in accordance with the Equalities Act 2010.
(2) To publish the Annual Pay Policy Statement (as set out in Appendix 2 to the report), in accordance with the Localism Act 2011.
