The Area Committee has given approval to an application received from Community Active Stockport CIC for a grant of £600 from the Ward Flexibility Funding Budget (£300 from each ward allocation) towards the cost of establishing a “Virtual Village” in Marple to serve the older community residents, and especially those living alone and in sheltered accommodation such as Rectory Court and Queen's Court, in walking distance of the village centre.
