26/05/2015 - Stockport Exchange (Phase 2) - Heads of Terms for New Lease with Cineworld

The Corporate Director for Corporate and Support Services and the Corporate Director for Place Management & Regeneration, in consultation with the Executive Councillors (Corporate, Customer & Community Services) and the (Economic Development & Regeneration) have approved the terms of a new lease and associated agreements to secure the continued occupation of Cineworld at Stockport Exchange until the opening of the new cinema at Redrock anticipated to be in Spring 2017.

28/02/2014 - Stockport Exchange - Management Proposal For Residual Surface Car Parks

The Corporate Directors for Corporate and Support Services and for Place Management & Regeneration, in consultation with the Executive Councillors (Economic Development & Regeneration) and (Corporate, Customer & Community Services) have approved the management arrangement with NCP for the residual car parks at Stockport Exchange that will remain following the opening of the new Multi-Storey Car Park (MSCP) in February 2014.

 

The authority to take this decision was delegated by the Executive on 16 December 2011.

19/12/2011 - Town Centre Regeneration - Grand Central Redevelopment: Development Partner Procurement and Scheme Update (RGN191)

The Executive Meeting to considered proposals for a comprehensive redevelopment of the Grand Central site following the completion of a competitive procurement process and agreed that

 

(i)            Muse Developments Ltd be appointed as the Council’s preferred development partner for the Grand Central Regeneration Scheme.

(ii)          the result of the recent application made to the Department for Transport for partial funding for the construction of a Multi-Storey Car Park adjacent to Stockport Railway Station and the subsequent planning applications be noted;

(iii)         authority be delegated to the Corporate Directors of Place and Corporate and Support Services, in consultation with the Executive Councillors (Finance) and (Regeneration) to:

 

·         finalise the details around the Development Agreement, Land Disposals and on-going maintenance of the site;

·         enter into the appropriate arrangements to construct temporary car parking at the site of the Tenpin building and the former Brannigan’s site, subject to planning permission;

·         terminate, if necessary, any occupational leases to coordinate with the phased development of the site, and

·         choose the most appropriate financial model for the development of the scheme , including the utilisation of the Department for Transport grant in relation to the overall financial framework.
