Issue - decisions

The Cabinet Member for Communities and Housing has approved the implementation of revised scheme design proposals amended from initial approval 3rd February 2017 (EMDCH41).  During the design process a few changes were made to the original scheme layout, which were significant enough to seek further approval. The amended scheme design (drawing: Project/1174/GA-01/GMCRP revision B dated 21/04/2017) was circulated to and agreed by Ward Councillors 02/05/2017.

The changes include:

·         Central double sided vehicle restraint system rather than two single sided barriers

·         New central island to the south of Oldmoor Road to assist cyclist to cross and access the cycle path thus avoiding the roundabout

The Executive Councillor (Communities & Housing) has approved the statutory legal advertising of the moving traffic regulation orders detailed in the report, and subject to no objections being received within 21 days of the advertising date agrees that the orders can be made.
