The Executive Councillor (Communities & Housing) has approved the widening of the northern footway of the A6 between Wellington Road and Middlewood Way, to make provision for a 2-way Cycle/Footway on the northern side of the A6 between Wellington Road and Middlewood Way, as part of the A6 to Manchester Airport Relief Road (A6MARR) Complementary and Mitigation Measures (CMM) for High Lane and Hazel Grove.

The cost for implementing the footway modifications will be funded from the A6MARR Complementary and Mitigation Measures scheme budget.

Marple Area Committee supported the proposal.
