The Executive Councillor (Supporting Places) has approved the relaxation of the permit parking criteria for the introduction of a residents permit parking scheme at Crosby Street, in light of the turnover in occupants in the adjacent flats affecting the consultation outcome.

The Central Stockport Area Committee supported the proposal.

The Area Committee considered and noted the findings of a consultation exercise amongst local residents and agreed to relax the criteria necessary in order to implement a Residents’ Parking Scheme on the section of Crosby Street, Stockport between Lyme Grove and Lowfield Road, as shown on plan number NM27/5887/02 attached to the report.

The criteria had been relaxed due to the turnover of flats in the area which is affecting the true figure of residents in favour of the scheme.
