The Area Committee has approved an application from Cancer Research UK to hold a Race for Life 5K run, walk or dance event for women only in Vernon Park and Woodbank Memorial Park on Sunday 1 June 2014, subject to the production of appropriate papers and event plans and the organisers being requested to erect no banners at the entrance to the parks.
