The Strategic Head of Service (Legal & Democratic Governance) has given approval to an application from Renew Stockport for a grant of £700 from the Ward Flexibility Fund budget (£200 each from the Davenport and Cale Green, Edgeley and Cheadle Heath and Manor wards, and £100 from the Brinnington and Central ward) towards the cost of training amateur actors (refugees and asylum seekers) to perform a drama for Farsi speakers in Stockport to support the refugee community to keep in touch with their Persian culture and prevent social isolation.

The ward councillors have been consulted on this grant allocation and are in agreement that it be made.
