To consider a report of the Director of Place Management.

The report details the findings of a consultation exercise and seeks approval for the introduction of a Moving Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) and removal of traffic calming measures.

The Area Committee is requested to consider and recommend that the Cabinet Member for Highways, Parks and Leisure Services approves the removal of the temporary cushions, and experimental order be established as a permanent Moving Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) of 20mph, as shown in Appendix G.

A representative of the Strategic Head of Service (Legal & Democratic Governance and Monitoring Officer) submitted a report of the Director of Place Management (copies of which had been circulated) detailing the findings of a consultation exercise and seeking approval for the introduction of a Moving Traffic Regulation Order and the removal of traffic calming measures.

RESOLVED – (1) That the Cabinet Member for Highways, Parks and Leisure Services be recommended to give approval to the removal of the temporary cushions, and that the experimental order be established as a permanent Moving Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) of 20mph, as detailed at Appendix G to the report.

(2) That the Director of Place Management be recommended to inform ward councillors of the timescale for the removal of the temporary vertical traffic calming measures.
