To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management & Regeneration.

Currently the A555 Manchester Airport Eastern Link Road is being constructed and prior to completion the Traffic Regulation Orders as described in this report are to be legally advertised and recommended to be implemented to support the new carriageway.

The Area Committee will be invited to consider the proposals and recommend to the Cabinet Member for Communities & Housing that she approve the measures contained in the report.

A representative of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) detailing proposals for the introduction of a package of Traffic Regulation Orders to support the A555 Manchester Airport Eastern Link Road which was currently under construction.

RESOLVED – That the Cabinet Member for Communities and Housing be recommended to give approval to the legal advertising of the package of traffic regulation orders contained within the report, and subject to the receipt of no objections within twenty one days of the advertisement date, the subsequent making of the Orders.
