To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration.

The report provides an update on noise barrier proposals for Belmont Way and the associated consultation undertaken, and seek approval of the Executive Member (Communities and Housing) to plant a vegetation screen instead of the 2m high, close boarded timber fence barrier proposals consulted.

The Area Committee are requested to note the report.

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager submitted a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration (copies of which had been circulated) requesting the Area Committee to comment on a proposal for noise barriers to be erected on Belmont Way which included the planting of a vegetation screen instead of a 2m high close boarded timber fence.

RESOLVED – That the Executive Councillor (Communities and Housing) be recommended to approve the planting of a vegetation screen on Belmont Way instead of a 2m high close boarded timber fence barrier.
