To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration

The report sets outs the result of an investigation into the difficulties caused by parked vehicles at the junctions of Webb Lane with Bramwell Street, Celtic Street, Courthill Street and Trevor Grove, also the junctions of Athens Street with Celtic Street and Courthill Street and  in addition the junctions of Barnsley Street with Dona Street and Celtic Street, Offerton.

The Area Committee is requested to approve the statutory legal advertising of a No Waiting At Any Time Traffic Regulation Order and, subject to no objections being received within the statutory period, the Order can be made.

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) setting out the result of an investigation into the difficulties caused by parked vehicles at the junctions of Webb Lane with Bramwell Street, Celtic Street, Courthill Street and Trevor Grove; the junctions of Athens Street with Celtic Street and Courthill Street; and the junctions of Barnsley Street with Dona Street and Celtic Street, Offerton.

RESOLVED – (1) That approval be given to the following No Waiting At Any Time Traffic Regulation Order in the Celtic Street area, Offerton, as set out below, at an approximate cost of £750 to be funded from the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Manor Ward allocation):-

Webb Lane

East side from a point 10 metres south east of the southerly kerbline of Bramwell Street to a point 5 metres north west of the northerly kerbline of Bramwell Street and from a point 5 metres south east of the southerly kerbline of Dona Street to a point 5 metres north west of the northerly kerbline of Dona Street and from a point 5 metres south east of the southerly kerbline of Celtic Street to a point 5 metres north west of the northerly kerbline of Celtic Street and from a point 5 metres south east of the southerly kerbline of Trevor Grove

to a point 5 metres north west of the northerly kerbline of Trevor Grove.

Webb Lane

West side from a point 5 metres south east of the southerly kerbline of Celtic Street to a point 5 metres north west of the northerly kerbline of Celtic Street and from a point 5 metres south east of the southerly kerbline of Courthill Street to a point 5 metres north west of the northerly kerbline of Courthill Street.

Barnsley Street

West side from a point 5 metres south of the south easterly kerbline of Dona Street to a point 5 metres north west of the northerly kerbline of Dona Street and from a point 5 metres south east of the southerly kerbline of Celtic Street to a point 5 metres north west of the northerly kerbline of Celtic Street.

Athens Street

East side from a point 5 metres south east of the southerly kerbline of Celtic Street to a point 5 metres north west of the northerly kerbline of Celtic Street and from a point 5 metres south east of the southerly kerbline of Courthill Street to a point 5 metres north west of the northerly kerbline of Courthill Street.

Bramwell Street

South side from the easterly kerbline of Webb Lane for a distance of 10 metres in an easterly direction.

Bramwell Street

North side from the easterly kerbline of Webb Lane for a distance of 5 metres in an easterly direction.

Dona Street

Both sides from the easterly kerbline of Webb Lane for a distance of 5 metres in a north easterly direction and from the westerly kerbline of Barnsley Street for a distance of 5 metres in a south westerly direction.

Celtic Street

Both sides from the easterly kerbline of Athens Street for a distance of 5 metres in a north easterly direction and from a point 5 metres south west of westerly kerbline of Webb Lane to a point 5 metres north east of the easterly kerbline of Webb Lane and from the westerly kerbline of Barnsley Street for a distance of 5 metres in a south westerly direction.

Trevor Grove

Both sides from the easterly kerbline of Webb Lane for a distance of 5 metres in a north easterly direction

Courthill Street

Both sides from the easterly kerbline of Athens Street for a distance of 5 metres in a north easterly direction and from the westerly kerbline of Webb Lane for a distance of 5 metres in a south westerly direction.

(2) That approval be given to the statutory legal advertising of the Traffic Regulation Order and, subject to no objections being received within twenty one days from the advertisement date, the Order be made.
