To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management & Regeneration.

To report the findings of a consultation exercise and to seek approval for the introduction of a Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) to improve safety and access for motorists and pedestrians in the vicinity of Nevill Road School.

The Area Committee is recommended to approve the legal advertising of the a Traffic Regulation Order as set out in the report and, subject to no objections being received within 21 days from the advertisement date, the orders can be made. The Order includes the following elements:-

·         Proposed No Waiting at Any Time restrictions on parts of Nevill Road, North Park Road,  Rushton Drive, Handley Road

·         Proposed No Waiting Mon – Fri 8am – 5pm restrictions on parts of North Park Road

·         Proposed No Waiting Mon – Fri 8.30am – 4.30pm/No Loading Mon – Fri 8.30 –  9.15am, 3.00 – 3.45pm on parts of Earle Road, Abingdon Road

·         Proposed No Loading Mon – Fri 8.30 –  9.15am, 3.00 – 3.45pm on parts of Nevill Road, Earle Road, Abingdon Road

·         Proposed Disabled Persons Parking Place on North Park Road

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager submitted a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management & Regeneration (copies of which had been circulated) detailing the findings of a consultation exercise and seeking approval for the introduction of a package of Traffic Regulation Orders in the vicinity of Nevill Road School to improve safety and access for motorists and pedestrians.

RESOLVED - That approval be given to the statutory legal advertising of the following Traffic Regulation Orders and, subject to no objections being received within 21 days of the advertisement date, the subsequent making of the Order at a cost of £2950 to be funded from the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Bramhall North ward allocation):-

Proposed No Waiting at Any Time

Nevill Road, Bramhall, both sides, from a point 10 metres west of the western kerbline of Bramhall Lane South, for a distance of 13 metres in a westerly direction.

North Park Road, Bramhall, north west side, from a point 6 metres north east of the north easterly kerbline of Rushton Drive to a point 10 metres south west of the south westerly kerbline of Rushton Drive.

North Park Road, Bramhall, north west side, from a point 10 metres north east of the north easterly kerb line of North Park Road to a point 10 metres south west of the south westerly kerbline of North Park Road.

North Park Road, Bramhall, both sides, from the north westerly kerb line of North Park Road for a distance of 10 metres in a north westerly direction.

North Park Road, Bramhall, south east side, from a point 10 metres north east of the north easterly kerbline of Handley Road to a point 10 metres south west of the south westerly kerb line of Handley Road.

Rushton Drive, Bramhall, south west side, from the north-westerly kerbline of North Park Road for a distance of 10 metres in a north westerly direction.

Rushton Drive, Bramhall, north east side, from the north-westerly kerbline of North Park Road, for a distance of 22 metres in a north westerly direction.

Handley Road, Bramhall, both sides, from the south-westerly kerbline of North Park Road for a distance of 15 metres in a south easterly direction.

Abingdon Road, Bramhall, east side, from a point 10 metres north of the northern kerbline of Nevill Road, for a distance of 21 metres in a northerly direction.
