Councillors who require a substitute to be appointed should inform Democratic Services by 4.00pm on Thursday, 5 June 2025 (Councillors who wish to arrange their own substitute should inform Democratic Services of their substitute prior to the commencement of the meeting).

To approve as a correct record and sign the Minutes of the meeting held on 3 March 2025.

To consider whether it is in the public interest to exclude the press and public from the meeting during consideration of Agenda item 9 – ‘Stockport Crematorium and Cemetery - Business Case’ as an appendix to the report contains information ‘not for publication’ by virtue of Category 3 ‘Information relating to the financial or business affairs of any particular person (including the authority)’ as set out in the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).

To consider a joint report of the Director of Place Management, the Director of Public Health and the Director of Strategy.

The report presents the Year-End Portfolio Performance and Resource Reports (PPRRs) for the Communities, Culture & Public Protection and Parks, Highways & Transport Services Portfolios. The Year-End Reports focus on delivery of the portfolio priorities from October 2024 to March 2025. They include forecast performance and financial data (where this is available) for the portfolios, along with an update on the portfolio savings programmes.

The Scrutiny Committee is recommended to

(1) Consider the Year-End Portfolio Performance and Resource Reports;

(2) Review the progress against delivering key projects, priority outcomes, targets and budgets for 2024/25;

(3) Highlight key areas of and responsibility for taking forward corrective action to address any performance or resource issues;

(4) Highlight any significant issues or changes to be fed back to the Cabinet alongside the Corporate Performance and Resource Report;

(5) Identify how areas of strong performance and good practice can be shared in other services.

This report outlines the Scrutiny Review process, provides a framework within which they should be undertaken and will support Scrutiny Committee Members with the selection of Scrutiny Review topics for the 2025/26 municipal year.

The Scrutiny Committee is recommended to:-

(1) consider the selection of a Scrutiny Review topic to be carried out during the 2025/26 municipal year.

(2) nominate members to sit on the proposed Scrutiny Review Panel.
