To consider an application for Ward Flexibility Funding received from African and Caribbean Community Association for a grant of £215.20 (£53.80 from Heatons North, £53.80 from Heatons South, £53.80 from Reddish North, £53.80 from Reddish South) towards the cost of organising a celebration of International Men’s Day, with health talks and activities regarding prostate cancer, diabetes and high-blood pressure.

Advertisement consent for the installation of a mixture of illuminated and non-illuminated signage across the site, including:

 

·       Non-illuminated individual lettering signs to the elevations of the Units within Blocks 5 and 6 facing onto Greg Street;

·       Internally illuminated light box signs to the front elevations of the new industrial units facing the internal courtyards;

·       An internally illuminated entrance totem sign;

·       An externally illuminated site and tenant directory sign; and

·       Two small non illuminated directional signs.

 

The Area Committee is recommended to grant planning permission subject to conditions.

To consider a report of the Director of Development and Regeneration.

 

The report provides an update on delivering Reddish District Centre Action Plan, initial thoughts on how the £5,000 from UK Shared Prosperity Fund is to be allocated and support for Large Local Centres.

 

The Area Committee is asked to:-

 

a)    note the progress made in developing the Reddish District Centre Action Plan.

b)    provide feedback on priority projects to allocate the £5,000 UKSPF to.

c)    note the plans to develop an information portal to support businesses and organisations in large Local Centres.

The report provides details relating to the prohibition of waiting and restricted waiting on parts of Clifton Road and Alan Road in Heaton Moor.

 

The Area Committee is asked to approve the legal advertising of the following Traffic Regulation Orders as shown in Appendix A and subject to no objections being received within 21 days from the advertisement date the following orders can be made:

North East side from a point 63 metres North West of the North Western kerb line of Heaton Moor Road for a distance of 46 metres in a North Westerly direction.

 

No Waiting at Any Time:

North East side from a point 10 metres South East of the South Eastern kerb line of Alan Road in a North Westerly direction to a point 10 metres North West of the North Western kerb line of Alan Road.

 

South West side from the (projected) South Eastern kerb line of Alan Road for a distance of 7 metres in a South Easterly direction.

Combined School Streets - Proposed Permanent Traffic Regulation Order - Prohibition of Driving (Except for Permit Holders) pdf icon PDF 313 KB

The report provides details relating to proposals to change the existing Experimental Prohibition of Driving (except for Permit Holders) when Temporary Road Signage is in place between the hours of 8am to 9.30am and 2.30pm to 3.50pm, Monday to Friday Traffic Regulation Order to that of a Permanent Traffic Regulation Order.

 

The Area Committee is asked to comment on and recommend that the Cabinet Member for Parks, Highways & Transport Services approves the Traffic Regulation Order set out in Appendix A and be established on a permanent basis.

Request for funding to purchase Bulbs for Heaton South pdf icon PDF 120 KB

The report provides details of a request by the Neighbourhood Team for £700 to purchase Spring Flowering Bulbs for Heaton South. The bulbs would be shared with community groups to plant in the Heaton South Ward.

 

The Area Committee is asked to approve funding to purchase additional bulbs for Heaton South.

To consider an application for Ward Flexibility Funding received from Sustainable Living in the Heatons (SLH) for a grant of £500 from the Heatons North ward allocation towards the cost of purchasing wood to mend and strengthen the damaged sides of the raised herb bed in Heaton Moor.
