Ward Flexibility Funding - Bee Sober CIC pdf icon PDF 582 KB

To consider an application for Ward Flexibility Funding received from Bee Sober CIC for a grant of £70.50 (£23.50 from Bramhall North, £23.50 from Bramhall South & Woodford and £23.50 from Cheadle Hulme South wards allocation) towards the cost of organising walk and talk events, supplying refreshments, and the printing of leaflets and posters to increase awareness to support those in recovery.

Ward Flexibility Funding - Brazilian Festival pdf icon PDF 158 KB

To consider an application for Ward Flexibility Funding received from the Brazilian Festival Event for a grant of £900 (£300 from Bramhall North, £400 from Bramhall South & Woodford and £200 from Cheadle Hulme South wards allocation) towards the cost of running a Brazilian themed festival providing authentic Brazilian traders of food, drink, and crafts to the local community.

Ward Flexibility Funding - Drawing Board Productions CIC pdf icon PDF 566 KB

To consider an application for Ward Flexibility Funding received from Drawing Board Productions CIC for a grant of £300 (£100 from Bramhall North, £100 from Bramhall South & Woodford, and £100 from Cheadle Hulme South ward allocations) towards the cost of publishing an arts and culture printed supplement for Stockport residents which will include poems, interviews from artists and a list of upcoming events.

Ward Flexibility Funding - Drawing Board Productions Bramhall Post pdf icon PDF 771 KB

To consider an application for Ward Flexibility Funding received from Drawing Board Productions for a grant of £700 (£300 from Bramhall North and £400 from Bramhall South & Woodford) towards the cost of setting up Bramhall Post, which is a free newspaper covering Bramhall and Woodford which aims to help residents stay informed and connected by providing a printed platform for local organisations to share their news and information.

Ward Flexibility Funding - Friends of Highfield Orchard pdf icon PDF 2 MB

To consider an application for Ward Flexibility Funding received from Friends of Highfield Orchard for a grant of £1000 (Cheadle Hulme South ward allocation only) towards the cost of repairing the notice board sign which has become damaged over recent years, correct other local signs, and to obtain hi vis vests and logoed shirts for the volunteers of the group.

Ward Flexibility Funding - Stockport Allergy & Asthma Parents pdf icon PDF 2 MB

To consider an application for Ward Flexibility Funding received from Stockport Allergy & Asthma Parents support group for £1500 (£1000 from Bramhall South & Woodford and £500 from Cheadle Hulme South wards allocation) towards the cost of running a playgroup, to support parents with children who have food and environmental allergies. The funding would help pay for the room hire, drinks, snacks, and toys.

To consider an application for Ward Flexibility Funding received from Bramhall Together Trust for a grant of £1200 (£600 from Bramhall North, £500 from Bramhall South & Woodford and £100 from Cheadle Hulme South wards allocation) towards the cost of running Light Up Bramhall, a large event for the whole community to meet, shop, eat and drink.

The report provides an update on the Council’s partnership with the Institute of Place Management in supporting the development of Bramhall and Cheadle Hulme District Centres.

 

The Area Committee is requested to:-

 

1)    Note and comment on the final report from the Institute of Place Management on Bramhall District Centre and Cheadle Hulme District Centre.

 

2)    Authorise the District Centre Manger, in collaboration with local stakeholders, to develop an Action Plan for Bramhall District Centre and Cheadle Hulme District Centre. based on the recommendations in the Institute of Place Management Report.

 

3)    Request that the District Centre Manager reports progress on delivering the Action Plan to the Area Committee on a quarterly basis.

The report provides an update to the proposed introduction of the Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs), associated with the Bramhall Park to A6 walking and cycling scheme.

 

The Area Committee is requested to recommend that the Cabinet Member for Economy & Regeneration approves the implementation of the proposed measures and the legal advertising of the Traffic Regulation Orders contained in Appendix B and subject to no objections being received within 21 days from the advertisement date, the subsequent making of the orders to be funded from the Mayoral Challenge Fund.

To consider a report of the Director of Place Management.

 

The report details the findings of a consultation exercise in relation to the proposed provision of a new Puffin Crossing on Turves Road in Cheadle Hulme to help improve the safety of the public while crossing Turves Road.

 

The Area Committee is requested to:-

 

1)    Recommend that the Cabinet Member for Economy & Regeneration approves the implementation of the crossing scheme (Henley Avenue – Eastings Close), as shown on the revised proposals drawing (Drawing. No. F/5210/07/TR/001 Rev C) in Appendix B, and to progress the establishment notice via Legal Services (as described within Appendix A).

 

2)    Recommend that, should the location at Henley Avenue / Eastings Close be deemed unbuildable within allocated budget and / or timetable due to the cost and / or delays of utilities diversions, Members agree for a consultation exercise be carried out for the alternative location at Cheviot Avenue and the results are presented to Members via email with a recommendation that the Cabinet Member approves the scheme, including any associated Traffic Regulation Orders.
