The report considers the lines of enquiry raised by the Working Party on 16 March 2015 in relation to visitor permits in residential parking schemes.
The
Working Party is requested to consider its response to the lines of
enquiry raised. Minutes: A representative of the Corporate Director for Place Management & Regeneration submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) requesting the Working Party to consider the lines of enquiry as requested at the last meeting in relation to visitor parking permits in residential parking schemes.
The following comments were made/issues raised:-
· The potential for the fraudulent use of visitor parking permits. · Ways in which reports of fraudulent use of visitor parking permits could be dealt with by the local authority. · Unique reference numbers on permits could be used to identify the owner of the vehicle.
RESOLVED – That
the Working Party make the following recommendations to the
Council’s Executive:
(2) That the Corporate
Director for Place Management & Regeneration be requested to
undertake an internal review of visitor parking permits for care
workers employed by the Council in all zones they require. |
