Development of the new Children's Trust Strategic Plan - workshop The current Children’s Trust Strategic Plan covers 2015-2017 and is therefore due to be refreshed this year.
This meeting provides an opportunity for members of the Children’s Trust Board to discuss and agree priorities for the new Children’s Trust Strategic Plan
The meeting will take the following format: -
Introductory presentations: -
Five short presentations will provide the context for the development of the new Children’s Trust Strategic Plan: -
• Update on Stockport Family, including key developments, current priorities, areas for future work and Ofsted feedback (Chris McLoughlin / Deborah Woodcock)
• Update on the Neighbourhood Pilots, including the development of the ‘joined up local services’ model, current priorities, next steps and implications for services for children and young people (Jennie Neill / Holly Rae)
• Statutory responsibilities relating to child poverty / the role of Inclusive Growth proposals and links with the Children’s Trust (Holly?)
• Safeguarding priorities, including priorities identified by the Stockport Safeguarding Children Board for consideration by the Children’s Trust (Gill Frame)
• The Greater Manchester context, including the ways in which developments at a Greater Manchester level are likely to impact on services for children and young people (Andrew Webb)
Board discussion: -
• Representatives from each sector have been asked to think about key priorities for partnership work from the perspective of their sector
• Using the information provided in the introductory presentations and Board members’ priorities for partnership working, the Board will be invited to discuss and agree the key priorities and areas of work to be included in the new Children’s Trust Strategic Plan and accompanying work programme / indicative themes for future Children’s Trust meetings. |
