The Minutes (copies of which had been circulated) of the meeting held on 19 August 2010 were approved as a correct record and signed by the Chair.

Development applications were submitted.

DC47156: Minor Material Amendment to DC043577 Plot 1 for a mixed use development comprising forty six residential affordable units (use class C3), two restaurant/cafe units (use class A3) and associated parking to allow the minor amendment to the position of blocks A & B.

 

The Committee is recommended to agree modification.

In respect of plan no. 43577 for a detailed application for No. 46 (2 bed) apartments, No. 2 ground floor units for Class A3 restaurants/cafes and associated car parking and plan no. 47156 for a minor material amendment to DC043577, Plot 1 for a mixed use development comprising forty six residential affordable units (use Class C3), two restaurant/café units (use Class A3) and associated parking to allow the minor amendment to the position of blocks A & B at Plot 1, Hopes Carr, Stockport,

 

the applicant spoke in support of the application

RESOLVED – That planning permission be granted.

The Committee is recommended to grant planning permission.

Minutes:

In respect of plan no. 48549 for the construction and operation of a multi-storey car park south of Railway Road, Grand Central, Stockport with associated landscape, access, circulation and parking improvements,

 

a member of the public spoke against the application

 

It was then

 

RESOLVED – (1) That planning permission be granted, subject to additional conditions requiring the landscaping to be mature specimens and the applicant submitting a method statement.

 

(2) That consideration be given to minimising the impact of the works on local residents by the contractor’s hours of working.

 

(3) That approval be given to the submitted highway works to Railway Road and Wellington Road North, and the Service Director (Place Development) be authorised to enter into a Section 278 Agreement under the Highways Act 1980 with the developer for the design and construction of the works, including such land dedication as shall be necessary by the Council and the developer for their execution.
