To approve as a correct record the minutes of the meeting held on 11 April 2025.

The Minutes of the meeting held on 11 April 2025 (copies of which had been circulated) were approved as a correct record and signed by the Chair.

No declarations of interest were made.

Members of the public are invited to put questions to the Chair and Members of the Committee on any of the matters within the powers and duties of the Committee subject to the exclusions set out in the Code of Practice. Questions must be submitted prior to the commencement of the meeting. These are available via the Council’s website at www.stockport.gov.uk/publicquestions

To consider whether it is in the public interest to exclude the public during consideration of Agenda Item 5 – ‘Appeal A666’ which contains information ‘not for publication’ by virtue of the categories set out in the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).

RESOLVED – That the public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of agenda item 5 ‘Appeal A666’ as exempt by virtue of Paragraphs 1 and 2, Schedule 12a of the Local Government Act 1972 as containing information relating to any individual and information which was likely to reveal the identity of an individual.

To consider a grievance appeal from an employee of the People Directorate.

The Employment Appeals Committee considered a grievance appeal from an employee of the People Directorate.

RESOLVED – That having considered the grievance appeal, and having read all the documentation and listened carefully to all that was said by the appellant, witnesses and management representative, the Committee found that the grievance appeal be partially upheld.
