Exclusion of the Public and the Public Interest Test

To consider whether it is in the public interest to exclude the public during consideration of Agenda Item 6 – ‘Appeal A659’ which contains information ‘not for publication’ by virtue of the categories set out in the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).

RESOLVED That the public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of agenda item 5 ‘Appeal A659’ to prevent the disclosure of information relating to an individual. It would not, on balance, be in the public interest to disclose this information to the public because disclosure of the personal information would not be fair to the appellant and therefore in breach of Data Protection regulations.

Appeal A659

To consider a grievance appeal from an employee of the Place Directorate.

The Committee considered a grievance appeal from an employee of the Place Directorate. The Appellant attended the meeting and presented their case. The Committee received documentation, heard presentations and questioning from the Appellant and Management.

The Committee considered the grievance appeal, presentations and written documents that were submitted, as well as the additional documentation presented at the meeting. Having listened to all that was said, and having carefully considered all of the documentation and verbal presentations, the Committee decided that the grievance appeal be dismissed.
