Members of the public were invited to put questions to the Chair on any matters within the powers and duties of the Committee, subject to the exclusions set out in the Code of Practice.

 

A representative of the Assistant Director for Governance noted that one question had been submitted that was ruled out of order as the Chair was of the view that it related to a quasi-judicial matter, questions relating to which were not permitted under the Public Question Time Code of Practice.

 

No further public questions were submitted.

(a)              To consider development applications where members of the public have attended the meeting in order to hear the Committee's deliberations.

A representative of the Assistant Director for Governance submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) of the recent appeal decisions; lists current planning appeals and dates for local enquiries; informal hearings for planning appeals, and enforcement action by Area Committee area.

 

It was reported that since the publication of the agenda it has been confirmed that the appeal against an enforcement noticed served relating to the installation of an air conditioning unit to the side elevation of the property at The Birches, 38B Grange Road, Bramhall had been dismissed and the enforcement notice was upheld.

 

It was commented that the new format of the reports was welcomed as it was easy to read.
