Minutes:

The Chair reminded Councillors of the procedure rules for considering planning applications of the Committee and reminded members of the public that audio and visual filming was prohibited without the consent of the Chair.

The Minutes (copies of which had been circulated) of the meeting held on 13 October 2011 were approved as a correct record and signed by the Chair.

Councillors and officers to declare any interests which they have in any of the items on the agenda for the meeting.

To report any urgent action taken under the Constitution since the last meeting of the Committee.

(a)    To consider development applications where members of the public have attended the meeting in order to hear the Committee's deliberations.

 

(b)          To consider the remaining development applications.

 

NOTE: Councillors are requested to note that if they withdraw from the meeting during the consideration of a development application upon their return they should not participate any further in the deliberation or vote on that planning application.

The Corporate Director of Place is authorised to determine conditions and reasons and they are not therefore referred to in committee minutes unless the committee makes a specific decision on a condition or reason. In respect of plan no. 47498 for the change of use from dental surgery to residential with two storey side / rear extension and provision of Juliette balcony to rear elevation at 20 Wilmslow Road, Cheadle, it was

 

RESOLVED - That planning permission be granted subject to an additional design condition in respect to the colour and finish of the Juliette balcony.

Construction of six bedroomed detached dwelling and attached garage

 

The Committee is recommended to grant planning permission

 

Minutes:

In respect of plan no. 47449 for the construction of a six bedroomed detached dwelling and attached garage at 196 Buxton Road, High Lane, it was

 

RESOLVED - (Nine for, two against) – (1) That the Service Director (Place Development) be authorised to determine the application subject to:-

 

·        The inclusion of a condition be applied to protect the privet hedge adjacent to 194 Buxton Road.

·        Further discussion with the applicant in respect to the colour of the render of the house.  Members suggested the colour, white and black timber to match the character styling of adjacent properties.

 

(2) That, following the determination of the application, the Service Director (Place Development) be requested to circulate the decision notice to Members of the Planning and Highways Committee and Marple South Ward Councillors.
