The Minutes (copies of which had been circulated) of the meeting held on 10 November 2011 were approved as a correct record and signed by the Chair.

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) containing the recommendation made by the Visiting Team on Monday 5 December 2011.

 

RESOLVED – That the report be noted.

To consider a report of the Service Director (Place Development).                                   

 

(a)              To consider development applications where members of the public have attended the meeting in order to hear the Committee's deliberations.

 

(b)              To consider the remaining development applications.

 

NOTE: Councillors are requested to note that if they withdraw from the meeting during the consideration of a development application upon their return they should not participate any further in the deliberation or vote on that planning application.

Minutes:

In respect of plan no. 46620 for the demolition of existing building and erection of 9 two bedroom apartments with parking spaces at 2 Sandy Lane, Romiley, it was

 

RESOLVED – That the Service Director (Place Development) be authorised to determine the application subject to:-

 

·         The completion of a legal agreement relating to the provision of recreational space and sports facilities.

·         An informative relating to the inclusion of a boundary treatment adjacent to Romiley Primary School to prevent playground equipment entering the site.

·         The inclusion of a landscaping condition to reuse salvaged bricks and stone when reconstructing the boundary walls and property.

·         Further discussion with the applicant to discuss the installation of a blue plaque on the building or at the site to commemorate Sir Freddie Williams.

RESOLVED – That the Service Director (Place Development) be authorised to determine the application subject to the completion of a legal agreement relating to the provision and maintenance of children’s and formal play space.
