A representative of the Deputy Chief Executive submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) summarising recent appeal decisions, listing current planning appeals and dates for local inquiries and informal hearings according to area committees.

 

It was reported that since the publication of the agenda, there had been a number of updates to the report as follows:-

 

·         The appeal against the refusal of planning permission for the erection of a new-build 2 storey 3 bedroom dwelling at 2 Grendale Avenue, Offerton had been dismissed.

·         The appeal against the refusal of planning permission for the erection of 1.4 metre tall fencing and sliding gate at the front of the property (retrospective) at 45 Buckingham Road West, Heaton Moor had been dismissed.

·         The enforcement notice served at 36 Mill Brow, Marple Bridge with regard to the removal of raised decking from the rear garden had now been complied with.

 

Clarity was requested on the whether any timescales had been attached to the arrangement for the access by the council to land at Unity Mills, Woodley to assess compliance with a required replanting of 100 native woodland trees.  It was confirmed that further information would be sought on this issue and communicated directly to members.
