The report provides an update on progress since the last meeting on decisions taken by the Area Committee, including its executive Sub Committee, and details the current position on ward flexibility funding, the Brookfield Park Shiers Family Trust, and delegated budget.

 

To receive a verbal update (if any) from the Democratic Services Officer on the progression and/ or success of projects which have received a grant from the Brookfield Park Shiers Family Trust to assist members of the Area Committee in the monitoring of the effectiveness of the fund.

To consider a report of the Director of Development and Regeneration. 

 

The report provides an update on delivering the Cheadle District Centre Action Plan and includes recent successes and priorities for the next 6 months. 

 

The Area Committee is requested to: 

 

a)    note the progress made in delivering projects and events; and 

b)   provide feedback on initial ideas for priority projects to allocate the £5,000 UKSPF which will be discussed with Cheadle Village Partnership.

Ward Flexibility Funding - Come And Meet Each Other (CAMEO) pdf icon PDF 1 MB

To consider an application for Ward Flexibility Funding received from CAMEO for a grant of £40 (£20 from Cheadle East & Cheadle Hulme North and Cheadle West & Gatley ward allocations) towards the cost of afternoon entertainment and speakers for the event to speak on topical subjects e.g. How to Write Life History, Parkinson Groups etc.

Ward Flexibility Funding - Stockport Armed Forces Breakfast Club pdf icon PDF 570 KB

Stockport Armed Forces Breakfast Club is asking for £27.94 from each ward allocation towards the cost of two feather flags and two pull-up banners to replace damaged ones. The purpose of the feather flags and banners is to draw attention to passing motorists that ex-HM Armed Forces meet there.

The report asks the Area Committee to submit recommendations for a completed development site within their area to be included on the list of sites to be inspected by Tour delegates, and to provide nominations for delegates to attend the Annual Review of Outcomes on Friday 4 October 2024. 

 

The Area Committee is requested to: 

 

a)    nominate a completed development site to be included on the list of sites to be inspected on the 2024 Annual Review Tour; and 

b)   nominate members to attend the Annual Review Tour on 4 October 2024.

Proposed Traffic Calming and 20mph Speed Limit Order - Objection Report - A34 Scheme 1 - Gatley road, Cheadle pdf icon PDF 319 KB

The report sets out objections to proposed Traffic Calming measures and a 20mph Speed Limit for A34 Scheme 1 – Gatley Road, Cheadle. 

 

The Area Committee is requested to recommend that the Cabinet Member for Parks, Highways & Transport Services approves the implementation of the Traffic Calming and the Speed Limit Order as originally advertised.
