Petitions To receive petitions from members of the public and community groups. Additional documents: Minutes: Councillor Adrian Nottingham submitted a petition signed by 34 residents of Cross Road and Kilburn Close, Heald Green objecting to the inconsiderate way cars were being parked by the members and visitors of Cheadle and Gatley Junior Club outside their properties on five to seven days per week. This had caused numerous parking violations including illegal parking, forcing cars to drive at speed on the pavement and double park which would prevent emergency vehicles gaining access.
The petitioners also objected to the proposal to turn the changing rooms into a ‘pub style’ social club which would be open until midnight. This was unacceptable to local residents as a result of the potential nuisance caused as their homes were close to the building.
RESOLVED – That the petition be referred to appropriate Council Officers for investigation and the outcome reported back to the Heald Green Ward Councillors.
