RESOLVED - That in order to prevent the disclosure of information which was not for publication relating to the financial or business affairs of any particular person (including the authority), the disclosure of which would not be in the public interest, would not be fair and would be in breach of Data Protection principles, the public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of Agenda Item 5 “Appointment of Borough Treasurer”.

To interview candidates for the post of Borough Treasurer.

The Chief Executive and a Representative from Berwick Partners gave an outline of the process that took place at the Assessment Centre on 26 November 2015, where the candidate had undergone assessment.

A summary was provided on the candidate to the Committee.

The Committee interviewed the candidate for the post of Borough Treasurer.

RESOLVED – (1) That the post of Borough Treasurer be offered to Michael Cullen.

(2) That a decision on the remuneration package be delegated to the Chief Executive within the Council’s Pay Policy and in accordance with the Committee’s guidance.
