Public Realm The local Public Realm Inspector will attend the meeting to provide an update on matters raised at the last committee meetings. Councillors and Members of the public are invited to raise issues affecting local environmental quality. The following comments were made/ issues raised:-
· Further information was requested in relation to the number of successful prosecutions undertaken by the Council in relation to dog fouling. · It was stated that there was overgrown vegetation in front of the barriers to Woodford Recreation Ground. It was further stated that the signage for the site was also in need of replacement. · Concern was expressed in relation to the visibility of the road markings on Llanberis Road, Conway Road and Ruthin Avenue and at the bus stop on Albert Road, Cheadle Hulme. · Additional dog fouling signage was requested along Dairyground Road, Bramhall. · The wildflower beds on Ringmore Road, Bramhall had become overgrown.

The report outlines the findings of the review of outcomes tour undertaken on Friday, 5 October 2018 and requests that the Area Committee gives consideration to the arrangements for the 2019 tour.
The Area Committee is recommended to :-
(1) Comment on and note the findings of the 2018 Annual Review of Outcomes Tour.
(2) Nominate a completed development site to be included on the list of sites to be inspected on the 2019 Annual Review Tour; and
(3) Nominate Members to attend the Annual Review Tour on Friday, 4 October 2019.

To consider a joint report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration and the Head of Legal and Democratic Governance.
The Area Committee is requested to consider whether to create a bridleway on land owned privately as shown marked A – B, B – C, D – E, E – F, F – G, G – H, H – I and G – Y – J at Appendices 1 and 2. The paths would be maintainable at public expense.
The Area Committee is also requested to consider the extinguishment of a section of Public Footpath 75 Cheadle and Gatley, as shown by a continuous bold black line marked X – Y on the plan at Appendix 2.
That the Area Committee is recommended to resolve to:-
(1) Not proceed with the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport (Ladybrook Valley) Public Path Creation and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2018 dated 15 February 2018.
(2) Authorise the making of a bridleway creation Order in respect of the sections of the route between A –B – C, D – E – F – G – H – I and G – Y – J, as shown on the plans at Appendices 1 and 2.
(3) Authorise the making of a footpath extinguishment Order under section 118 Highways Act 1980 to extinguish that section of Public Footpath 75 Cheadle and Gatley between points X – Y, as shown on the plan at Appendix 2.
(4) In the event that objections are received to the creation and / or extinguishment Orders, delegate the decision to send the Orders to the Secretary of State for confirmation, or not to proceed with the Orders, to the Corporate Director of Place.

Tour of Britain Update PDF 545 KB To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration.
The ten Boroughs of Greater Manchester will be hosting the final stage OVO Energy Tour of Britain on Saturday 14th September 2019. The race will start in Altrincham and run through each Greater Manchester Borough prior to the stage finish at Manchester City Council. The report explains how the tour will pass through Stockport, the implications for transport and plans to keep residents fully informed.

To report the findings of a consultation exercise in relation to a package of revocations and new Traffic Regulation Orders on Bodmin Drive, Bramhall following reports that on occasions vehicles are parking up on both sides of Bodmin Drive causing an obstruction together with reduced visibility and creating a hazard.
The Area Committee is recommended to give approval to the legal advertising of the following Traffic Regulation Orders, and, subject to the receipt of no objections within 21 days of the advertisement date, the subsequent making of the orders at a cost of £760 to be funded from the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Bramhall North ward allocation):-

The report details a proposal to revoke and then introduce new ‘No Waiting At Any Time’ Traffic Regulation Orders on Bridge Lane and Hillcrest Road, Bramhall following reports that vehicles are regularly parking on both sides of road on Hillcrest Road close to its junction with Bridge Lane causing an obstruction together with visibility issues for drivers negotiating the junction safely.
The Area Committee is recommended to give approval to the proposals contained in the report, and subject to the receipt of no objections within 21 days of the advertisement date, the subsequent making of the orders at a cost of £965 to be funded from the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Bramhall North ward allocation).
