The Mayor announced that this chaplain for the year would be Reverend Chris Blunt, Rector of the Parish of Stockport with Brinnington.
Civic Service – 26 June 2022
The Mayor informed the Council Meeting that the Civic Service would be held on Sunday, 23 July 2023 at the Stockport (St Mary’s) Parish Church.
It was further stated that a Civic Reception would be held in the Ballroom at the Town Hall, Stockport on Thursday, 7 July 2023.
The Mayor’s Charity
The Mayor reported that the Mayor’s Charity would be raising funds for Stockport Unit 318 Of The Sea Cadet Corps.
Finally, the Mayor announced that Stockport had taken on the title of Greater Manchester’s Town of Culture for 2023, securing £50,000 to support arts and creativity in the borough. |
