Chair's Announcements To receive any announcements from the Chair about local community events or issues. Additional documents: Minutes: The Chair on behalf of the Area Committee informed local residents of the following:
· Poppy appeal taking place in ASDA in the lead up to Remembrance Sunday. The Committee expressed their appreciation to Kevin Murray for the Poppy Appeal Bike Run. · Tractor run taking place on 27 December 2024 through the Town Centre. · Fair Trade Exhibition being held on 16 November 2024 at the Guildhall, Stockport. · New Marple Pop Up Library Service - every Tuesday from midday to 6pm and on a Thursday from 10am to 4pm. SMART Lockers were installed outside the Scout Hut and available to be used. · Brown Bins – you were now able to recycle soft plastics. · Local Authority’s and funding arrangements were mentioned in the Budget announcement. · Councillor Surgery – Devonshire Arms Pub from 11.00am on Saturday 2 November 2024 regarding the roadworks on Longhurst Lane, Mellor. |

Neighbourhood Policing Councillors and members of the public are invited to raise ‘Neighbourhood Policing’ issues with the local Neighbourhood Policing Team. Additional documents: Minutes: The Chair reported that a representative of Greater Manchester Police had been unable to attend the meeting.
Members reported having met with the new Chief Superintendent Lewis recently and discussing a number of issues related to Marple including:
· Nuisance bikes · Anti social behaviour · Police presence on the quieter roads

Public Question Time Members of the public are invited to put questions to the Chair of the Area Committee on any matters within the powers and duties of the Area Committee, subject to the exclusions set out in the Code of Practice (Questions must be submitted prior to the commencement of the meeting on the cards provided. (RSAS) Ludworth Primary School Objection Report PDF 614 KB To consider a joint report of the Director of Place Management and the Assistant Director for Legal & Democratic Governance.
The report provides details to the objections receive relating to the proposed Traffic Regulation Orders presented for the Ludworth Primary School scheme.
The Area Committee is to recommend that the Cabinet Member for Parks, Highways and Transport Services approves the implementation of the Traffic Regulation Orders as originally advertised and as described in Appendix A of the report and that the objectors are informed of the decision.

Members enquired about the enforcement arrangements. In response, it was noted that enforcement officers would be out patrolling the area accordingly.
