Public Question Time Members of the public are invited to put questions to the Chair of the Area Committee on any matters within the powers and duties of the Area Committee, subject to the exclusions set out in the Code of Practice (Questions must be submitted prior to the commencement of the meeting on the cards provided. These are available the meeting. You can also submit via the Council’s website at www.stockport.gov.uk/publicquestions. Minutes: Members of the public were invited to submit questions to the Chair of the Area Committee on any matters within the powers and duties of the Area Committee subject to the exclusions set out in the code of practice. Two questions were submitted as follows:-
(a) The Civic Voice Manifesto 2015-2020.
RESOLVED – The Chair thanked the member of the public for the question and for circulating the manifesto to each Councillor for consideration and confirmed that he would be happy to discuss the issue in greater detail at a future meeting.
(b) The future of the former Chadwick Street Car Park
RESOLVED – That the question be referred to the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration for consideration and that an update be provided to the next meeting. |

Public Realm The local Public Realm Inspector will attend the meeting to provide an update on matters raised at the last committee meetings. Councillors and Members of the public are invited to raise issues affecting local environmental quality. Minutes: Wayne Bardsley (Public Realm Service) attended the meeting to report on current issues and to answer questions from Councillors and members of the public in relation to highway and environmental quality issues within the area represented by Marple Area Committee.
The following comments were made/issues raised:-
· The replacement of the road markings on Trinity Way/Stockport Road had been programmed. · The repairs on Ridge Road following a burst water main were nearly complete. · Repairs on Ley Lane and Glossop Road had been completed. · BT cabling works were to be carried out along the stretch of 275-299 Longhurst Lane (15-17 December 2014) · The positioning of A-Boards in the District Centres. · Joint work undertaken with Environmental Health to combat problems associated with the burning of waste at Aquaduct Business Park.

Review of Outcomes Tour 2014/15 PDF 84 KB To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration.
The report details proposals to hold the Annual Review of Outcomes on Friday, 23 January 2014.
The Committee is recommended to:-
(i) give approval to the proposed date of the Annual Review of Outcomes Tour on 23 January 2014.
(ii) request that a report be placed on the agenda for the next cycle of Area Committees to request the nomination of a completed development site to be included on the list of sites to be inspected on the Annual Review Tour and that each Area Committee nominates Members to attend the Tour.

SEMMMS Road Schemes Update Report PDF 126 KB To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration
The report provides an update on:-
· the progress with delivering the various phases of the SEMMMS (South East Manchester Multi Modal Strategy) Road schemes. The three phases are A6 to Manchester Airport Relief Road, Poynton Relief Road and A6 to M60 Relief Road
· the Poynton Relief Road consultation on the preferred route option and its future work programme including proposals for a section 8 agreement to be drafted to allow Cheshire East to lead this scheme development and delivery.
· progress with the A6 to Manchester Airport Relief Road scheme which is progressing through the statutory processes stages and subject to satisfactory completion describes the steps required to deliver the scheme
· the status of the A6 to M60 route.

Application for Parks Use - Marple Memorial Park and Brabyns Park PDF 78 KB To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration.
The report presents for consideration an application for an event which includes a carnival procession which will culminate at Marple Memorial Park, which will house a car boot sale, small fairground rides, hot and cold food stalls, information stalls, raffle, bands and dance troupes, with larger fairground attractions at Brabyns Park. Organisers expect to attract approximately 5000 people throughout the day.
