To approve as a correct record and sign the Minutes of the meeting held on 15 February 2012.

The Minutes (copies of which had been circulated) of the meeting held on 15 February 2012 were approved as a correct record and signed by the Chair.

No declarations of interest were made.

The following development application will be considered by the Area Committee:-

Full planning permission is sought for new dwelling.

The Area Committee is requested to recommend that the Planning and Highways Regulation Committee grants planning permission.

In respect of plan no. 47887 for full planning permission at 86A Cote Green Road, Marple Bridge, Stockport, it was

RESOLVED – That the Planning and Highways Regulation Committee be requested to grant planning permission.

(Note – The Chair was of this opinion that this item, although not included on the agenda should be considered as a matter of urgency in accordance with section 100B(4)(b) of the Local Government Act 1972 to enable the Area Committee to determine the application)

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager submitted a report on behalf of the Service Director (Place Management) (copies of which were circulated) requesting the Area Committee to determine an application from Park Run for the use of Brabyns Park from 5k runs every Saturday morning commencing on 13 May 2012.

RESOLVED – That the application for the use of Brabyns Park from Park Run for 5k runs every Saturday morning commencing on 13 May 2012 be approved.

(Note – The Chair was of this opinion that this item, although not included on the agenda should be considered as a matter of urgency in accordance with section 100B(4)(b) of the Local Government Act 1972 to enable the Area Committee to determine the application)

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager submitted a report on behalf of the Service Director (Place Management) (copies of which were circulated) requesting the Area Committee to determine an application from Marple Carnival Committee to hold the Marple Carnival and Brabyns fun fair in Marple Memorial Park on 16 June 2012.

RESOLVED – That the application from Marple Carnival Committee requesting permission to hold the Marple Carnival and Brabyns Fun Fair at Marple Memorial Park on 16 June 2012 be approved.

(Note: The Chair was of the opinion that this item although not included on the agenda should be considered as a matter of urgency in accordance with Section 100B(b) of the Local Government Act 1972 to enable  the Area Committee to promptly consider a number of Area Flexibility Funding applications)

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager submitted a number of funding applications (copies of which had been circulated) for consideration by the Area Committee.

RESOLVED – That the Democratic Services Manager be requested to make grants to the following organisations:-

·         Strines Road Recreation Ground - £926.93 (Marple South ward allocation)

·         Mellor Parish Centre - £500.00 (Marple North ward allocation)

·         Friends of Marple Memorial Park - £1000.00 ( to be divided equally between the two wards)

·         Marple Park Run – The Area Committee noted that this application had been withdrawn.

·         Mellor Open Gardens - £492.00 (Marple North ward allocation)

·         High Lane Cricket Club - £400.00 (Marple South ward allocation)

·         Friends of Cromwell Avenue Park (£400.00 (Marple North Ward allocation)

·         Marple Bridge Association - £500.00 (Marple North ward allocation)

·         Marple and District Allotment Association – £1000.00 ( to be divided equally between the two wards)
