To report on the receipt of a petition with 306 signatories in relation to a request for new leisure/sports facilities for Offerton.

In accordance with the Code of Practice no organisation has indicated that they wished to address the Area Committee as part of the Open Forum arrangements.

To consider any applications for Ward Flexibility Funding or to receive feedback from organisations who have received funding.

There are currently no development applications to consider.

To consider a report of the Assistant Director for Legal & Democratic Governance.

The report summarises recent appeal decisions; lists current planning appeals and dates for local enquiries; informal hearings for planning appeals, and enforcement action within the Stepping Hill Area Committee area.

The Area Committee is recommended to note the report.

To consider a report of the Director of Place Management.

The report requests the Area Committee to approve a 20mph speed limit on Akesmoor Drive, Brooklyn Road and Lakeside Green in Offerton and No Waiting at Any Time restrictions at the junction of Akesmoor Drive with Mile End Lane.

The Area Committee is recommended to give approval to the legal advertising of the following TRO:

20mph Speed Limit:

The full length covering the extent of Adopted Highway.

No Waiting at Any Time:

Both sides from the South Eastern kerb line of Mile End Lane for a distance of 10 metres in a South Easterly direction.

South East side from a point 11 metres South West of the South Western kerb line of Akesmoor Drive in a North Easterly direction to a point 15 metres North East of the North Eastern kerb line of Akesmoor Drive.

and subject to no objections being received within 21 days from the advertisement date, the subsequent making of the orders at a cost of £3,500 to be funded from the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Offerton Ward allocation).

To consider a report of the Director of Place Management.

The report requests the Area Committee to approve the removal of the ‘free’ resident permit parking on Store Street in Great Moor.

The Area Committee is recommended to give approval to the legal advertising of the following TRO:

To consider a report of the Director of Place Management.

The report provides details of a desk-top study of the parking availability on a section of Diamond Street, Heaviley following the receipt of a petition from residents requesting a Resident Parking Scheme.

The Area Committee is recommended to note the view of Network Management that no further action be taken.
