To consider an application received from Be / Here MCR CIC for Ward Flexibility Funding for a total grant of £670 (£35.50 from Hazel Grove and £35.50 from Offerton ward allocations) towards the cost of equipment and promotion for mental health workshops for members of the LGBTQIA+ community and allies.

To consider an application received from Play for Ward Flexibility Funding for a total grant of £994.70 (£248.67 from Hazel Grove, £124.34 from Norbury & Woodsmoor and £124.34 from Offerton ward allocations) towards the cost of equipment required to host chess clubs aimed at home schooled children at two Stockport libraries.

To consider an application received from Woodsmoor Station Friends for Ward Flexibility Funding for a grant of £315 (£160 from Norbury & Woodsmoor and £155 from Offerton ward allocations) towards the cost of a set of pads and battery for the defibrillator located at Woodsmoor Post Office.

To consider a report of the Deputy Chief Executive.

The following development applications will be considered by the Area Committee:-

Demolition of existing bungalow and garage, and erection of two detached dormer bungalow dwelling houses (Use Class C3(a)), with associated accesses, parking, boundary treatments, and associated works.

The Area Committee is recommended to grant planning permission subject to the imposition of conditions and the applicant entering into a Section 106 agreement to secure open space contributions.

To consider a report of the Assistant Director for Governance.

The report summarises recent appeal decisions; lists current planning appeals and dates for local enquiries; informal hearings for planning appeals, and enforcement action within the Stepping Hill Area Committee area.

To consider a report of the Director of Place Management

The purpose of the report is to consider the findings of a consultation exercise and to seek approval for the introduction of a Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) 'No Waiting Mon – Fri 8.00am – 9.30am & 2.00pm – 3.30pm (Single Yellow Line).

The Area Committee is recommended to approve the legal advertising of the Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) set out in Appendix A and subject to no objections being received within 21 days from the advertisement date, the order can be made.

To consider a report of the Director of Place Management

The purpose of the report is to consider the findings of a consultation exercise carried out between 11th October 2024 and 4th November 2024, for the Road Safety around Schools scheme Torkington Primary School and to seek approval for the introduction of Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs) and the associated road markings, signage; implementation of dropped kerbs with tactile paving and pencil bollards.

The Area Committee is recommended to approve the legal advertising of the original proposals for the Traffic Regulation Orders and subject to no objections being received within 21 days from the advertisement date, that the orders be made.

To consider a report of the Director of Place Management

The purpose of the report is to consider extended No Waiting at Any Time restrictions on part of Buxton Road in Hazel Grove.

The Area Committee is requested to recommended that the Cabinet Member (Highways, Parks & Leisure Services) approves the legal advertising of the following Traffic Regulation Order and subject to no objections being received within 21 days from the advertisement date the order can be made.

The purpose of the report is to make permanent an experimental order (Prohibition of Waiting) on Woodsmoor Lane in Woodsmoor.

The Area Committee is recommended to approve the schedule below on a permanent basis:

Woodsmoor Lane (Offerton Ward)

South East side, from a point 5 metres North East of the North Eastern kerb line of Claremont Road in a South Westerly direction to a point 5 metres South West of the South Western kerb line of Claremont Road.

Woodsmoor Lane (Davenport & Cale Green Ward)

North Western side, from a point 10 metres North East of the (projected) North Eastern kerb line of Claremont Road for a distance of 21 metres in a South Westerly direction.

To consider a report of the Executive Director for People and Neighbourhoods.

The report provides the latest update on Stockport Live Well building on the report brought in September 2024 on the Neighbourhoods and Prevention Programme, specifically neighbourhood profiles and outlines the key areas of focus for the next 12 months, in particular an update on development of the Stockport neighbourhood model (including networks, meetings, coordination and leadership).

The Area Committee is asked to: -

(a)  Comment on and to note the report.

(b)  Provide local advice to the development of the networks in particular to suggest venues for future network meetings.
