Members of the public are invited to put questions to the Chair of the Area Committee on any matters within the powers and duties of the Area Committee, subject to the exclusions set out in the Code of Practice (Questions must be submitted prior to the commencement of the meeting on the cards provided. To receive petitions from members of the public and community groups.

In accordance with the Code of Practice no organisation has indicated that they wished to address the Area Committee as part of the Open Forum arrangements.

To consider an application for Ward Flexibility Funding received from Girlguiding UK - 2nd Worsely Holy Rood Guides for a grant of £50 from the Bredbury & Woodley ward allocation only towards the cost of a 7-day Girlguides trip to the Azores.

To consider an application for Ward Flexibility Funding received from DOSportUK for a grant of £100 from the Bredbury & Woodley ward allocation only towards the cost of Stockport Jets Basketball sessions aimed at people with a learning disability and/or autism, but also open to all ages and abilities.

There are no development applications to consider.

To consider a report of the Assistant Director for Legal & Democratic Governance.

The report summarises recent appeal decisions; lists current planning appeals and dates for local enquiries; informal hearings for planning appeals, and enforcement action within the Werneth Area Committee area.

To consider a report of the Director of Place Management.

The report details a request for the allocation of £8,500 from the Delegated Ward Budget for the purchase and installation of a ground level roundabout to improve accessible play at Goyt Valley Play Area.

The Area Committee is requested to approve the allocation of £8,500 from the Delegated Ward Budget (Bredbury Green and Romiley ward allocation) towards improved accessible play at Goyt Valley Play Area.

To consider a report of the Director of Place Management.

The application sets out the intention of the Friends of Chadkirk to host their annual Well Dressing Community Event at Chadkirk Country Estate on Saturday 27 July 2024, between 12pm and 5pm (with set up 26 July and close down 29 July).

The Area Committee is requested to grant the application subject to the event organiser obtaining and providing the relevant paperwork at least 2 weeks prior to the event, including any necessary licences, health and safety documentation, insurance certificates, a satisfactory traffic management plan and the payment of agreed fees and charges.
