To consider an application for Ward Flexibility Funding received from Bee Sober CIC for a grant of £244.40 (£47.00 from Heatons North, £56.40 from Heatons South, £70.50 from Reddish North and £70.50 from Reddish South wards allocation) towards the cost of organising walk and talk events, supplying refreshments, and the printing of leaflets and posters to increase awareness to support those in recovery.

Heatons Active Neighbourhoods Permanent Measures pdf icon PDF 306 KB

To consider a report of the Director of Place Management.

 

The report details a proposal to approve permanent measures relating to the Active Neighbourhood scheme in the Heatons.

 

The Area Committee is requested to recommend that the Cabinet Member for Highways, Parks and Leisure Services gives approval to the legal advertisement of the package of traffic regulation orders and associated measures detailed in Appendix A of the report, and subject to the receipt of no objections within 21 days from the advertisement date, the subsequent making of the orders to be funded from the Active Neighbourhoods programme.

David Street, Reddish - Proposed Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) (Residents Permit Parking Scheme) pdf icon PDF 719 KB

The report details the findings of a consultation on proposals to introduce a residents permit parking scheme on David Street, Reddish; and to seek approval for the advertising/introduction of a Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) to that effect.

 

The Area Committee is recommended to give approval to the legal advertising of the following traffic regulation order and, subject to the receipt of no objections, the subsequent making of the orders:-

 

Proposed (TRO), Residents permit holders parking only at all times

 

David Street, Reddish 

South side - From its interception with the east kerb line of Bedford Street in an easterly direction to its cul-de-sac end at the emergency entrance to St. Joseph’s Primary School.

 

North side – From its interception with the east kerb line of the unadopted/private street in an easterly direction to its cul-de-sac end at the emergency entrance to St. Joseph’s Primary School.

Road Safety Around Schools - All Saints Primary School pdf icon PDF 332 KB

To consider a report of the Director of Place Management.

 

The report details the findings of a consultation exercise for the Road Safety around Schools scheme around All Saints Church of England Primary School and to seek approval for the introduction of Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs) and associated signage; implementation of dropped kerbs with tactile paving; provision of bollards and new school warning signs.

 

The Area Committee is recommended to given approval to the legal advertisement of the traffic regulation orders detailed in Appendix A to the report and, subject to the receipt of no objections within 21 days of the advertisement date, the subsequent making of the orders and associated signage; implementation of dropped kerbs with tactile paving; provision of bollards and new school warning signs to be funded form the Road Safety Around Schools Programme budget.

The report provides an overview of the proposed implementation of Speed Indicators Devices (SID’s) in the Heatons & Reddish Area.

 

The Area Committee is recommended to support the SID programme and for the Highway Ward Spokespersons for each ward to be authorised to submit four potential locations where they would like the SIDs to be installed.
