Chair's Announcements To receive any announcements from the Chair about local community events or issues. Additional documents: Minutes: The Chair reported that this would be the last Area Committee Meeting at which Councillor Tom Grundy would be in attendance as he was not standing for re-election in May 2018. On behalf of the Area Committee she thanked him for his hard work and dedication and wished him well for the future.

Public Question Time Members of the public are invited to put questions to the Chair of the Area Committee on any matters within the powers and duties of the Area Committee, subject to the exclusions set out in the Code of Practice (Questions must be submitted prior to the commencement of the meeting on the cards provided. These are available the meeting. You can also submit via the Council’s website at www.stockport.gov.uk/publicquestions. Two questions were submitted as follows:-
a) The creation of a pathway at the bottom end of the field in North Reddish Park
Councillor Butler expressed her support for the proposal and requested that the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration investigate the costs associated with the request and submit a report to a future meeting.
RESOLVED – That the Corporate Director for Place Management be requested to investigate the costs for the creation of a pathway at the bottom end of the field in North Reddish Park and to submit a report to a future meeting of the Area Committee.
b) The reinstatement of rail passenger services from Stockport to Manchester Victora via Reddish South and Denton Train Stations.
A number of Councillors responded to the questioner expressing their support for the proposal and agreement that it be included in the Local Transport Plan.

Public Realm The local Public Realm Inspector will attend the meeting to provide an update on matters raised at the last committee meetings. Councillors and Members of the public are invited to raise issues affecting local environmental quality. Additional documents: Minutes: Janette Sadgrove (Public Realm Service) attended the meeting and provided an update on issues relating to public realm and enforcement related matters in the Heatons and Reddish Area Committee area.
The following comments were made/issues raised:- · Planned weed spraying in North Reddish. · Excellent work undertaken by the Community Payback Team in Brighton Avenue. · Key replacement for the gates on the alleyways on Oswald Street. · Fly-tipping and contaminated waste on Lyndale Avenue. · Advisory notices placed on cars that park on grass verges and the reaction from members of the public. · Efforts made by the Council to combat dog fouling.

The report details the findings of the Review of Outcomes tour undertaken on Wednesday, 11 October 2017 and requests that the Area Committee gives consideration to the arrangements for the 2018 tour.
The Area Committee is recommended to :-
(1) Comment on and note the findings of the 2017 Annual Review of Outcomes Tour.
(2) Nominate a completed development site to be included on the list of sites to be inspected on the 2018 Annual Review Tour; and
(3) Nominates Members to attend the Annual Review Tour on October 5 2018.

To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration
The report sets out the results of an investigation regarding parking at the junction of Manchester Road and Whirley Close in Heaton Chapel. It had been reported that parked vehicles were hampering visibility of on-coming traffic on Manchester Road and safe turning manoeuvres at the junction.
The Area Committee is requested to recommend the Cabinet Member for Communities and Housing to approve the statutory legal advertising of the No Waiting At Any Time Traffic Regulation order on Manchester Road and Whirley Close, Heaton Chapel and, subject to no objections being received within twenty one days from the advertisement date, the Order can be made.
