The report outlines the work that has taken place in relation to the Draft Stockport Local Plan since the pause of the Regulation 18 consultation and provides up-to-date information in relation to publication of the revised National Planning Policy Framework and proposed next steps for the plan.

To consider a report of the Cabinet Members for Climate Change & Environment and Economy, Regeneration & Housing.

The report and appendix outline the strategic approach in responding to the medium-term financial plan (MTFP) and should be read in conjunction with the MTFP update reports (parts A and B) presented to the Cabinet meeting held on 18 September 2024.

The Mid-Year Portfolio Performance and Resource Reports (PPRRs) for the Climate Change & Environment and Economy, Regeneration & Housing Portfolios are presented for consideration.

The Scrutiny Committee is requested to:

a) consider the Mid-Year Portfolio Performance and Resource Reports;

b) review the progress against delivering key projects, priority outcomes, targets and budgets for 2024/25;

c) highlight key areas of and responsibility for taking forward corrective action to address any performance or resource issues;

d) highlight any significant issues or changes to be fed back to the Cabinet alongside the Corporate Performance and Resource Report; and

e) identify how areas of strong performance and good practice can be shared in other services.

The report sets out the proposal to renew a contract for the council to continue to collect water charges on behalf of United Utilities, which is set to expire at the end of March 2025.
