A representative of the Strategic Head of Service (Legal and Democratic Governance and Monitoring Officer) submitted an application received on behalf of Cheadle Civic Society (copies of which had been circulated) towards the cost of purchasing of equipment, park fees, and booking of entertainment for the 2022 Picnic in the Park event.

Members noted that a similar event held pre-pandemic was well attended and was a success.

RESOLVED - That approval be given to an application from Cheadle Civic Society for a grant of £2,000 from the Brookfield Park Shiers Family Trust towards the cost of purchasing of equipment, park fees, and booking of entertainment for the 2022 Picnic in the Park event.
