A representative of the Strategic Head of Service (Legal and Democratic Governance and Monitoring Officer) submitted an application received on behalf of Café Unity (copies of which had been circulated) which sought to tackle loneliness in children by enhancing the café through a remodelling of the upstairs meeting room to create a multi-purpose space for the use of the community.

The applicant attended the meeting to speak to their application and respond to questions from the Sub Committee.

Members welcomed the application and suggested that the applicant look into how the project could also support the development of young people attending the café.

RESOLVED - That approval be given to an application from Café Unity for a grant of £3,000 from the Brookfield Park Shiers Family Trust towards the cost of enhancing the café through a remodelling of the upstairs meeting room to create a multi-purpose space for the use of the community.
