To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management & Regeneration

 

This report is to advise the Committee of objections received to the proposed introduction of Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs) for Hawthorne Road, Mersey Road, Thornhill Road, Didsbury Road, Vale Close, Parrs Mount Mews, Cavendish Road, Highfield Park and Pleachway, Heaton Mersey. The TROs are proposed as part of the Road Safety around Schools scheme for Didsbury Road Primary School.

 

The Area Committee is asked to consider the comments in the report and provide approval for the order to be made as advertised.

A representative of the Corporate Director for Place Management & Regeneration submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) advising the Committee of objections received to the proposed introduction of Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs) for Hawthorne Road, Mersey Road, Thornhill Road, Didsbury Road, Vale Close, Parrs Mount Mews, Cavendish Road, Highfield Park and Pleachway, Heaton Mersey. The TROs are proposed as part of the Road Safety around Schools scheme for Didsbury Road Primary School.

 

The following comments were made/issues raised:-

 

·         Welcomed the report and thanked the officers for the work done to date.

·         Assurance was given regarding displaced parking to other side roads that it would be looked into by the authority.

 

RESOLVED – That the Area Committee has agreed that notwithstanding the objections the order be made as advertised.
