To consider a report of the Corporate Director (Place) and Deputy Chief Executive

 

The report provides the Area Committee with an update on the One Stockport frogs initiative.

 

The Area Committee is requested to support the balance of £400 for ‘Sunshine Frog’ to be funded from the Edgeley & Cheadle Heath Ward Flexibility Budget and £2,400 for ‘Park Frog’ to be funded from the Manor Ward Discretionary Budget.

A representative of the Strategic Head of Service (Legal & Democratic Governance and Monitoring Officer) submitted a report of the Corporate Director (Place) and Deputy Chief Executive (copies of which had been circulated) providing the Area Committee with an update on One Stockport frogs and to seek the authorisation of the Area Committee Delegated Budget towards the costs.

 

RESOLVED – (1) That approval be given to :-

 

(i)            the allocation of £400 from the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Edgeley & Cheadle Heath ward allocation) for the outstanding balance of the ‘Sunshine Frog’ that had been located on Castle Street, Edgeley.

 

(ii)              the allocation of £2,400 from the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Manor Ward allocation) for the full cost of the ‘Park Frog’ that had been located in Woodbank Park.

 

(2) That the thanks of the Area Committee be extended to Stockport County Football Club for contributing £2,000 towards the sponsorship costs of the ‘Sunshine Frog’ on Castle Street, Edgeley (Edgeley & Cheadle Heath Ward); sponsorship costs of £2,400 provided by Stephensons towards the ‘Resilience Frog’ in Cale Green Park (Davenport & Cale Green Ward) and sponsorship costs of £2,400 provided by Countryside Properties (UK) Ltd towards ‘Glow Frog’ outside First House, Brinnington (Brinnington & Central Ward).
