To consider a report of the Deputy Chief Executive.

The report provides the details of the proposed Local Initiative Scheme relating to the contribution towards complimentary highway scheme package – High Lane Cricket Club access road off Middlewood Road, High Lane.

The Area Committee is asked to give approval for the following proposal at a cost of £4,000 to be funded by the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Marple South ward allocation): -

Marple South Ward

Middlewood Road is due to be resurfaced along part of its length. This will include some accommodation work including drainage and structural repairs. A contribution of £4,000 is requested to complete all required work on the access road leading to High Lane Cricket Club.

A representative of the Deputy Chief Executive submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) detailing the proposed Local Initiative Scheme relating to the contribution towards complimentary highway scheme package – High Lane Cricket Club access road off Middlewood Road, High Lane.

Members welcomed the report and thanked the officers for the hard work and  progressing the scheme.

RESOLVED - That approval be given to a package of works to the access road leading to High Lane Cricket Club comprising the resurfacing of Middlewood Road and associated accommodations work including drainage and structural repairs at a cost of £4,000 to be funded from the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Marple South & High Lane ward allocations).
